The Biden administration forgave a further $1.2 billion in student debts for more than 150,000 borrowers on Wednesday as part of the White House's aggressive push to help Americans paying back their loans.

The move means Biden has cancelled nearly $138 billion for nearly 3.9 million borrowers since he took office, despite the Supreme Court killing his plan to wipe the debts seven months ago.

How stupid of us to pay our tuition on time and in full and sacrifice to have college funds for the kids. Now, not only did we pay for our but now are footing the bill for everyone else’s.

There’s no way to clean this mess up in 4 years. Maybe 40 years. That’s their plan.

Just wait until the IRS sends out the tax letter they will owe. Cancelling a loan via contract converts that money to taxable income.

He’s buying the votes of these people in the same way he’s creating an invasion of undocumented Democrat voters. The US is lost.

Kind of makes you wonder if those states that are trying to keep DJT off the ballots are going to ignore a SCOTUS ruling that says they can’t . . .

Dont put it past them. By time the lawyers and courts got involved, the election would be over and no one would have standing and even if they did, Biden would be installed to complete the destruction before anything happened

I’m pretty sure this is just media puffery giving Biden credit for forgivenes programs that predate his administration by decades.

Like disability forgiveness and fraud forgiveness which are reasonable and sane arrangements.

It appears to me that he is simply rebranding the Obama era PAYE ans REPAYE programs as SAVE to claim he is keeping his campaign promise.

Biden plagiarizing yet again.

“No it’s popular with those that owe it.”

More than 60% of Americans support it according to this.

That’s up to the individual to answer.
I know the GOP politicians get a lot out of it. That’s why they didn’t kill Obamacare when they had the votes.
Same with student loan forgiveness.

I think forgiving student loans is one of those issues that everyone bitches about but it has more support than people think.
Again, like Obamacare.

So you're saying Republican politicians are more interested in courting the votes of people who will never vote for them than representing their actual voters?

Well, yeah, that's been obvious, to me at least, for a couple decades at least. Thanks for acknowledging that a vote for any GOP schlub is a wasted vote.

“So you’re saying Republican politicians are more interested in courting the votes of people who will never vote for them than representing their actual voters?”

Not exactly. In safe GOP states and districts, Republicans will vote a conservative line. Most of their constituents are conservative.

In purple states and districts, voting a straight conservative line wouldn’t be representing their actual voters and they’ll get wiped out.

Well, I disagree.

I am am in one of the most solid red Congressional districts there is, but my Rep is a huge RINO, who actually closed his home office because of "threats of violence."

But what I was talking about is voting for Republicans, when they act like Democrats once they're elected.

What's the point?
