Pacoima. HUGE Mexican population in Pacoima. Even way back in the day it was a no-go zone for los gringos. Back in the 1960s, in our many haunts throughout the basin and the valley, we avoided Pacoima.

I'm a fourth generation Hispanic who largely grew up in Pacoima back then and I would agree with that assessment, although the population there then was 50/50 Black and Hispanic. Now the place is little Tijuana and pretty much unlivable.
