Country singer Toby Keith died Monday at the age of 62, his family wrote in a statement posted to his website and social media accounts early Tuesday.
"Toby Keith passed away peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family," the statement read.
"He fought his fight with grace and courage," it continued. "Please respect the privacy of his family at this time."

He had been in the news a lot recently about his cancer battle over the last few years. But nothing indicating (that I recall) that he was terminal. I guess I just didn’t read between the lines. RIP

If a man is tall and imposing, he likely had a rapid growth period. That rapid growth period can leave one more vulnerable to cancer.
Saw him at a cma tv show recently. He was very sick He sounded good though

Great patriotic catalog of songs.
I loved his songs. He and Scotty Emerick were a hit machine for several years and albums. They even included their bus tunes on albums which brought us Red Solo Cup and I’ll Never Smoke Weed with Willie Again.
