Adrian is cool.
Just don’t think Zappa was a virtuoso guitarist.
cool channel, thank you for posting.
anybody remember this Adrian Belew song from the late 80’s staring his daughter?

Yes. I like his work with Robert Fripp in King Crimson.
Yr welcome!
Zappa had more talent and creativity in is left testicle than any 10 living artists you can name.

Frank would agree, he couldn’t play an acoustic to save his life. But he was one of the best improvisational players out there.
The Talking Heads took off into the stratosphere after adding Adrian Belew and the 4-5 black musicians. They were cutsie boring art school types before that.
A read the drummer’s autobiography. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2020/jul/21/chris-frantz-talking-heads-david-byrne
Now I gotta go listen to it. 😉
FWIW, I like a lot of his lyrics. It’s the music that just leans too far to Captain Beefheart territory that is “off putting”. The odd part is that apparently Zappa didn’t do drugs at all.
Believe he is credited with producing Jars of Clay’s first record...fwiw.
I agree. Zappa’s music is hard to listen to.
