My guess, is eventually, the majority of black people will see that these Ebony Alerts tend to stigmatize the Alert, and may even prompt some to ignore such Alerts, since it ‘would only be about some missing black child’. It would be better to keep as before, one generic Alert for any lost child.
One cannot legislate compassion and empathy.
I do appreciate that there seems to be way overboard hype on a few missing white children or women, but just a few, because many times white victims are ignored completely....
