New kind of war, new realities, new rules...

No way in hell nato or the US could keep up with this....

Oh, and Excalibur can’t hit moving targets. But the “low tech” Krasnopol can.

Excalibur isn't designed for the same types of engagements as the Krasnopol. The Krasnopol, though, requires a person or a drone to sit within 2-3 km of the target so they can light it up with a laser. Excalibur can have someone calling the shots from much further out. And doesn't need someone to hold a steady light on the target, which doesn't work in fog or rainy weather. And greatly limits range of maneuverability when fired through cloud cover.

The biggest advantage Krasnopol has is that it's reported cost is 4-5 times less.

5x cost ratio is lower than the usual order of magnitude cost ratio for munitions.

But not to worry ! Raytheon is on it.

They are working on a combined GPS/laser Excalibur where they can double the price.

You are a shill and troll did you even watch the video. The Russkies lost more tanks in a month at Avdivka for no gain then this tank factory can make in 3 years. Your comment that the US and NATO cant keep up was that trolling of Russia or are you serious? Damn you are dumb

I watched the video and, as I noted, the tanks are just metal and can be replaced. Russians have not lost 500000 KIA or 1500000 maimed so badly that they’ll never function again as is the case with hohos. And the Russian tanks are improving and getting harder to kill as the video notes.

What are you even trying to say? Neocon wankers.. you mean the Brits? NATO fops, NATO isn't actively doing anything in Ukraine. A bunch of member countries have decided to sell arms and ammo to Ukraine, and we have long had a few SF there helping train them, but that's it. There is no big NATO presence on the ground there.

And if you just mean the Ukrainians floundering around with our gear, well most of what they've gotten has been surplus / older stuff. HIMARS units are probably the fanciest things they've gotten, but not that many, and it sounds like they've been put to some use.

US tech is stupid far ahead. The Nighthawk was flying for almost ten years before it was first seen. No one has anything close to the SR-71. What other country can move 6 1/2 acres of sovereign territory almost anywhere they want (hint: no one else even owns a supercarrier)?

No, but it can be killed with smoke, fog, a dead battery, laser-guy not being accurate with his laser or losing LoS. It's great in some situations, but not as great as you claim.

And US arms have inertial systems that work despite any jamming, although they're not quite as accurate. And jamming isn't done all the time, that's a great way to get an ARM on your head. When you send out jamming signals, you're telling the world where you're at. Spoofing GPS is much more effective, but a much more difficult/expensive countermeasure to field and utilize.

Russian can GPS jam a 20 by 20 km area. USA is well behind in EW, as Philip
Karber explains. (starts at prompt)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CMby_WPjk4&t=2079s

Krasnopol are using laser from drones, not some guy with a hand held.

Oh, and DOD has finally figured out that laser has value, and Raytheon is on it. No doubt with a huge premium over the current $168K per shot.

(Krasnopol cost estimated at $13,500)

https://nationalinterest.org/blog/reboot/laser-guided-bullets-meet-americas-excalibur-s-artillery-round-164465

Are any of these laser guided Excalibur actually deployed yet ? Has Excalibur ever produced at 2400 per year (which was supposed to be surge capacity) ?

The Russians say they will increase Krasnopol production 25 fold (which if they were at 1 percent of total shell production) would be more than current US total 155mm production. (28,000 per month)

https://www.defensenews.com/pentagon/2023/09/15/production-of-key-munition-years-ahead-of-schedule-pentagon-says/

Land based artillery is the most important weapons system there is. Sixty to 80 percent of casualties in peer wars. Ukraine estimated at 80 percent.

US artillery is a decayed joke.
