From iconic movie scenes to men in drag - bizarre scenarios that sent people laughing to their death

WHEN you're in the middle of belly-aching, stitch-inducing, hysterical laughter, it can make your cheeks and tummy hurt despite the euphoria.

You might even choke out between hoots: "I'm dying of laughter!"

Little did you know, some people have come to an unhappy end just from giggling.

That's not to say the same fate will befall whenever you fall into a fit of mirth.

But a case of the cackles - though supposedly good for your health - can also result in aneurysms or suffocation.

Here are eight bizarre cases of people who have literally laughed themselves to death.

So far I haven't paassed away yet (I don't think), but I can't keep a straight face when I watch a certain group of youtube videos.   My 3rd grade sense of humor somehow takes over, and I really can't keep a straight face when I see one of them.

This guy featured in these videos has a little gizmo he calls a "Pooter", which artificially makes certain rude bodily noises.   The funny part is seeing the other shoppers' faces when he does that in Walmart.   (What makes them realistic is that many aisles in Walmart really do smell bad like that, especially near any deplorables in "Health & Beauty".   Sometimes when you go into Walmart to buy a bag of health and a bag of beauty, the whole section stinks pretty bad, and you need a nasal clothespin for protection.)

Anyway, if anyone else here is interested in looking at one of these immature, childish videos, here's a link you can check out.

"The Pooter at Walmart! - Farting on People"

See if they make you smile uncontrollably, too.

When I was a kid, my siblings and I would improve our comedic timing by trying to tell a joke at just the right instant to make the hearer laugh while trying to swallow. Extra points for milk out of the nose.

Weird because two months ago I was telling a story to my wife and her sister, we all were laughing so hard, I passed out in the middle of the story, fell forward and hit my head on the table. Couldn’t breath I was laughing so hard.

1. Alex Mitchell

Alex Mitchell laughed his last in 1975 after spending a good half an hour chortling at an episode of the comedy show The Goodies.

He suffered heart failure after watching the Ecky Thump episode, and his death was widely reported at the time.

His wife Nessie even wrote to the show’s stars to thank them for making his final 30 minutes so enjoyable, the BBC reported.

i heard this story decades ago, but it was The Benny Hill Show.

I got a concussion out of it the last time it happened to me. Doc says nothing to do about it except be aware of it happening and stifle it.

I don’t know whether to be sympathetic or envious. There hasn’t been that much to laugh about of late...
