Typical. In 2009 GM fired all of their CAD designers. A couple years later they called a lot to offer them their jobs back.
Most of the ones I knew told GM to take a long walk on a short dock.

Really? CAD designers? The CAD people don’t design. They implement the designs pushed on them.

I doubt they fired all. GM was restructuring and also laid off over 20,000 hourly employees.
