NFL fans claim they ALREADY know who will play in Super Bowl LVIII next February... as bizarre conspiracy theory goes viral on social media

Eagle-eyed NFL fans believe they already know who will take to the field at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas in February.

We are still 95 days out from the highly-anticipated climax of the NFL season but that still hasn't stopped fans from sharing a wild conspiracy theory online.

Some have predicted that the two teams who battle for the Vince Lombardi Trophy are pre-selected by the NFL and their team's colors combine to make up that year's Super Bowl logo.

Explaining this theory, popular X account NFL Memes initially pointed out that the logo for Super Bowl LVI was made up of orange and yellow.

Backing up that theory was the fact that the Los Angeles Rams - who play in blue and yellow - beat the Cincinnati Bengals - who wear black and orange - on home turf.

Providing more ammunition to the theory was the logo for this year's game - Super Bowl LVII - in Arizona.

There is more evidence to support the claim here, too. At the top of that logo was some green - which it's claimed represents the Philadelphia Eagles.

Then, deep at the bottom, is some strips of red - which NFL fans believe corresponds to the Kansas City Chiefs.

I think it’s just conformational bias. Once you decide on some level that the bad calls are the result of corruption instead of human error you see corruption. When you remember there’s never been a time in sports history without bad calls, and that honestly have nothing to gain by corruption results, you’ll stop seeing corruption. Humans make the calls, humans make mistakes.

Perhaps you’re right, but would you say the same about Congress?

They don’t solve any problems. They talk a lot, and blather on. I think most of them are corrupt, too. It’s the nature of the beast.

Was it that way in the times of the Founding Fathers? Lord, I hope not. I hope that there was some decency back then.

The Founders let half the country own slaves. Different kind of corruption than the money grubbing we see now. But they sold the ideals they wrote in the Declaration for the expedience of not having to deal with some states clearly not being into those ideals. I count that as the seed of the corruption we’ve had ever since. First expedience, then expedience and profit (how the continental railroads happened is really sleazy), and these days just profit.

If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, will Taylor Swift get a ring?
