I was happy when the French reported that nicotine was a prophylactic that prevented Covid infections. I used that to shut up my wife’s nagging.
That term “A Fool’s Errand” comes to mind.
Just look at how prohibition turned out in America.
Accept that humans are ultimately imperfect and stop pretending the government has the power and the solution to make everything ‘as it should be’ for everybody.

Charles III isn’t descended from James II but he is descended from James I (through James’ daughter). The legitimate lines of descent from James II died out in the early 1800s. Possibly there are descendants from illegitimate children if he had any (he did have mistresses) but they don’t count as far as claims to the throne.
I think England has bigger problems to deal with than underage smoking.
Note to the UK’s Deep State: The NHS likely kills more people a year than cancer sticks.
