Many decades ago (when I was young and stupid) I was at a gathering with some friends. One of them was a fireman, and he was talking about how firemen remove combative people from fires.
It’s a choke hold, he said. It will give you complete control over anyone, he said.
You’re exaggerating, I said.
So he demonstrated the hold on me. I was quite prepared to resist the hold.
Almost immediately I went unconscious.
With age comes wisdom. I no longer volunteer for demonstrations of any kind.
