A high school in Texas has deleted a post congratulating its homecoming king after he was trolled in the comments for his 'feminine' appearance.
Angleton High School in Texas posted crowned Eddy Wilson and posted a picture of the senior online to congratulate him alongside the homecoming queen Mia Moreno.
Wilson - who is the captain of the varsity cheerleading squad - enjoys doing his makeup, dressing up and getting his hair done.
The high school senior identifies as a male but has a 'feminine appearance' which prompted trolls to leave ruthless hate comments on the Texas high school's congratulatory Facebook post.
AHS deleted its post after it received negative attention - but Wilson said it should have kept the post up so people were held accountable for their hateful words.
It meant a lot to Wilson that his peers voted him as homecoming king because he had a tough time in school and faced harassment throughout his life due to his femininity.
Wilson told ABC13: 'I don't do well with labels. I have the confidence to be me because I'm letting go of all the labels.
'As long as you're being you and you feel secure and beautiful in who you are, your body and your skin, that's all that matters.'
Wilson used the boys' locker room at school and experienced bullying from the baseball, soccer and basketball players who he had to share the space with.
He said: 'My cheer locker was vandalized throughout sophomore and junior year. I am a male, so I'm in the boys' locker room with baseball, soccer, and basketball players.

Father?
Had a tough time in school
Elected Queen
Makes no sense unless kids voted for him as a silly stunt.
And it is a son of obama to boot!
Full disclosure: I peeked.
Probably leftist teachers and staff did the “counting”.
“...but Wilson said it should have kept the post up so people were held accountable for their hateful words...”
Held accountable! For what? Exercising their right to free speech? Just because they make fun of you doesn’t mean they harbor hate. It’s just kids being kids.
According to the article, he was voted in as homecoming king by his high school classmates.
At least he’s not pretending to be female, and he apparently didn’t run for homecoming queen. So it’s a peculiar choice for homecoming king, but if that’s who the class voted for, they can have him.
Unless there’s more to the story, of course.
Government schools are evil.
Yeah, I have no idea why they would have voted for him, but stranger things have happened. Maybe they just liked him.
Well... He’s not identifying as something he’s not. He says he’s male. He uses male pronouns and the boys’ locker room. And he was elected homecoming king - not queen.
He merely dresses differently.
It’d be fine if he was a “big, dumb jock” though.
Makeup enhances feminine facial features, if you don’t wear it and you should be good to go.
Reminds me of the story of Bill Kaulitz, lead singer of Tokio Hotel.
Look him up. Eye opening.
Probably because I’m a goth (albeit at heart now being 47) and I got a lot of that torment as a younger person... including harassment and assault at a tea party rally in Connecticut.
Angleton is the county seat of Brazoria county, and is very heavily Conservative.
My wife was a teacher in AISD (when she was alive, anyway), and trust me - they are not leftists or “woke”.
Some, but they are definitely in the minority.
Clearly it’s down to either the teachers or the student body not being very conservative. If the latter, your assessment of the county needs updating. If the former, it may merely be the normal situation that many teachers come from other areas.
It’s the students who selected this guy as homecoming king.
And my assessment is as of today, I literally live here.
