The Deion Sanders era at Colorado started with a massive upset.

The Buffaloes got a late fourth-down stop with 55 seconds left to hang on for a 45-42 win over No. 17 TCU in Fort Worth on Saturday. QB Shedeur Sanders — the son of the Pro Football Hall of Famer — set the Colorado single-game record for passing yards while two-way star Travis Hunter had 11 catches as a wide receiver and an interception as a defensive back.

“I’m so thankful right now … man I’m loving these kids," Deion Sanders told Fox after the game. "Great joy for me to have this opportunity.”

Primetime delivers again. Whatever one can say about Deion and his brashness, he backs it up.

He knows what he's doing. He's doing all the recruiting. Then he'll have his OC and DC draw up the plays. And that's his formula.

Putting up 45 points is nice. Giving up 42… but I like Prime. Go Buffaloes!

Well at least TCU’s defense is improving, it’s 20 points less than what they gave up in their previous game.

He’s changing College Football, can the other programs keep up?

Wow. Deion Sanders is one of my all-time favorite athletes and people. I love that guy.

Well UC is definitely on my schedule to watch this year.

Note to Deion: I hope you don’t think Whitey doesn’t love you, because I’m Whitey and I love you.

Good luck this year. I think you’ve got the talent, drive, and smarts to take UC a long way.

It’s hard for me to support anything associated with CU because the university is so leftist and so is Boulder, but good luck to Deion Sanders and the players. Some of them probably aren’t too bad.

Live in western Colorado, Colorado Mesa played Texas A&M at home today. The game plan was to attend their first home game of the season ... started watching the CU/TCU game and it was evident this was going to be a barn burner ... one for the history books. I’ll catch a Colorado Mesa game later in the season.

One of the network announcers was orgasmic over Sanders.

I was looking for him to rush onto the field and ‘service’ Sanders.

Therefore more points scored in the Oregon - Portland State game then the Colorado - TCU game. Oregon won 81 to 7.

The Deion Sanders era at Colorado started with a massive upset.

Sanders is proving himself one hell of a head coach - and his son has a real future at the QB position. That was quite the upset.

Nick Saban has proven that's a winning formula. Good for Sanders - he helped my 49ers win their last Super Bowl and for that he'll always have my gratitude.

His receivers had a couple drops on long passing plays. Could have had even more
