Russians love getting drunk pretty much all the time. Maybe the space craft was drunk or hung over.

If this Russian mission has failed, hopefully the current moon landing being attempted next week by India will be successful. There’s never been a landing near the moon’s southern pole as far as I know.

If I recall things correctly lots of probes have made it to the moon’s surface. But NONE have made it to the south pole of the moon. Failure after failure.
