I was in Cabo San Lucas, MX in March. At Lands end the very tip of the Baha there is solid GRANITE rock that comes straight up out of the ocean to a height of about 1000’(Mount Solmar). It is very dramatic/picturesque

The water just off these pinnacles is deep. In the granite 20-30 feet up in elevation off the beach are hundreds of 4-5” diameter holes in the rock. Which apparently means that either the land raised up or the ocean level was 30-40 higher than it currently is.
Not sure which one is was, but the Pacific Ocean waves/water made those holes.
