I sometimes wonder if failed and past candidates are making money off of selling my email and snail mail addresses to campaigns around the US.

Unsubscribe does work for some that don’t go to the trouble to use a different send address STOP
does infact reduce the text crap.
I am pretty sure that is exactly what is going on.
I donated $ to Cruz in ‘13 and three weeks later got a IRS audit letter from Austin TX.
I have never lived in TX and after 4hrs of phone calls with them, they said “oops we made a mistake”
Someone on Cruz staff sold my name to the IRS.
