A LOT of your fellow vets including one of my best friends say the same. They tell their kids and everyone else not to join. I think a straight White Male would have to be nuts to join today’s military knowing he will be the #1 target of all the wokesters, will be insulted and denigrated constantly and will be considered to be nothing more than cannon fodder for the Neocon elites in one of their forever wars.
Straight White Males died at twice their percentage of the population in Iraq and the Stan which tells you a lot about who is in the frontline combat units. I think its time they stepped back and let a bunch of the trannies and and other Leftists go do the dying in the next war.
I firmly told the Marine recruiter who called for my son that there was no way my son would serve in this military. And I am a proud veteran.
How I wish you were wrong! The last kid I counseled on going into my beloved Air Force JAG Corps is doing OK; however, we have had several conversations about him staying true to what he knows to be true, regardless of the pressure from the woke leadership. it wasn’t until I became a senior leader in JAG, and had occasion to frequent the Pentagon that I realized all the career decisions were made by two people at the very top, accountable to no one, not really even to the promotion boards. The people sitting in those seats changed, but that fact never did.
