A famed Black Panther who's also a communist has faced calls to pay reparations after discovering her ancestors were white puritans who arrived in the US on the Mayflower.
Angela Davis, 79, was flabbergasted to discover both sides of her family were white, and that her mom's ancestors were slave owners, on PBS show Finding Your Roots.
And the stunning revelations sparked calls for the famously woke Marxist University of California professor to herself pay reparations, having previously called on whites to pony-up in the past.
Sharing a tweet about the show, conservative pundit Matt Walsh wrote: 'It gets better. She's also descended from a slave owner. On her father's side is a pilgrim. On her mother's side is a slave owner. Looks like Angela Davis owes some reparations.'
Another Twitter user called AK Kamara wrote: 'Angela Davis, the radical Marxist and former black panther, recently discovered she is also the ancestor of colonizers and slave owners. I guess she owes herself reparations. This timeline is hilarious.'

The irony is, the USA’s major social, cultural and certainly Government institutions are all “woke” and neo-Marxist now - so she really does represent “the establishment.”

This is something that people keep getting wrong in history and I am going to keep correcting it because it actually matters.
Puritans were mostly nobility and gentry and they wished to "purify" the Church of England.
Separatist were just what they sound like. They did not give two hoots or a holler about the Church of England. They had their own beliefs and wanted to go their own way. They were mostly Yeomen and Craftsmen.
So... crackers like Maya Angelou were making black Americans feel unsafe in Stamps, Arkansas?

I think the best moral argument for reparations is this: think of slaves and their descendants as the abused and disinherited children of the American family, for four generations and a hundred years after the end of slavery. That someone like Davis has white ancestry doesn’t mean much unless she somehow inherited her ancestor’s wealth and position.
Nearly all whites were poor also until the twentieth century, but they did have the social status to benefit from the growing economy, and could enter the middle class. Blacks were hindered in this until the 1960s (yes some did benefit from good factory jobs earlier). The window for a comfortable working class life began to close in the 1970s and 1980s, with offshoring and mass immigration, so black families had much less time to benefit from economic uplift.
Against that argument is the pragmatic: welfare and dependency have wrecked the black family, and reparation windfalls won’t help. Accumulated wealth depends on stable families.
At some point the only way to overcome the effects of abuse is to refuse the effects abuse and to break the cycle.
Suggest you look up Sarah Breedlove if you think all blacks were poor and had no economic upward mobility until the 1980s.
There were black entrepreneurs and business owners but in general blacks did not have the same avenues for education and advancement that whites did.
All my family was poor until my great-grandparents’ or grandparents’ generation. It took another generation or two for blacks to have the same opportunities especially in the South.
It seems as though the black people with fair skin are the most racist and full of hate. They must hate what they see in the mirror. They use hate to compensate for their white features.
