Complex human behavior such as deviant sexual preference is the result of any number of factors that are most certainly psychological. There have been numerous studies that have looked for any genetic component unsuccessfully. If a genetic component could be found it would prove their argument that people are born that way and that sexual preference is an attribute and not a characteristic and thus should be treated the same as race or sex. They have tried really hard but been unsuccessful. Anecdotal evidence aside it isn't genetic.

Homosexual researchers have tried and tried to find a shred of evidence that same sex attraction is inborn to support “Born that way” but were unable to find any, and had to admit there is no “born that way”.
It is a choice. Everyone has some kind of temptation, or many. Some are tempted to lie, steal, commit adultery, rape, assault, etc. Since we are human beings, not animals, we are enjoined to control our actions, to restrain illegal and immoral impulses. And with homosexual acts, just any other voluntary act, the more we indulge, the more we want to indulge. It is that simple.
There is actually no such thing as a “homosexual”. Only a person who chooses to engage in homosexual acts.
There are some that believe it is more of a disease, and not just a mental disease. There have been studies of homosexuals taking massive anti-biotic cycles, and were "cured" of their gayness. I've also seen promise in this area concerning autism. It's not a stretch between the two neurological disorders could be related. This is just another reason that Ivermectin has been poo poo'd.
