The most controversial Republican in Congress will not win re-election to her House seat, but there’s a growing number of Democrats and Republicans who actually believes she should run for president.
Mind you, she wouldn’t have a prayer of succeeding. But the state of American politics and the Republican Party is so toxic that the prospect of Liz Cheney becoming a serious presidential candidate is not as far-fetched as it sounds.
Her high-profile role on the Jan. 6 Committee has given her a national platform to spout her warnings of doom and gloom about “insurrections,” which, in turn, has given her access to a nationwide base of donors.
Those donors have bankrolled her candidacy to the tune of $10.1 million — swamping her Trump-backed challenger, Harriet Hageman’s, $2 million raised so far.
What’s significant about the donors is that they ain’t from Wyoming.
Even when she loses in the GOP primary — she’s trailing by 30 points at this point in the campaign — she’ll have a national base of big-money donors who might see Cheney as a GOP savior.

The problem is dems will have one Primary candidate running for their party nomination. With or without Biden, no more than perhaps two, I think.
Dems in all Open Primary states, like Texas, are free to cross over and vote Republican for the biggest Trump hating RINO running for the party nomination.

For example, that’s why liberal Democrat Al Gross in the Alaska special primary election which was just held last Saturday decided to label himself as an “Independent” because he would have no chance of making the final 2 (in Rigged Choice Voting) if he admitted what he really is.
And even *without* admitting it he still did worse than expected last Saturday. Democrats can’t win except in the most ghetto-fied districts unless fraud puts them over the top. In statewide elections (like here in PA) that’s exactly what WILL put them over the top in November so it’s not all good news even with the toxicity of the Rat label.

If Trump gets back to the White House that defense contractor may want to ditch her if they want to keep getting business.
