I have read “The Third Terrorist” three or four times. There is no way-NO WAY-I believe that Timothy McVay and Terry Nichols were anything more than stupid, well chosen patsies. They both deserved to hang.
This was Iraq behind it. And it is why, even being in the minority here, I was and am fully supportive of going into Iraq and cleaning that crap-hole out.
We could have done things better. We could have done them cleaner. We could have left far sooner. But we were right to go in, IMO. And Jayna Davis’ book is one of the reasons I feel that way.
Jayna Davis is no flake or conspiracy theorist, and she is 100% credible. You cannot read that book with an open mind and think otherwise.

Agreed. Saddam might not have had much to do with 9/11, but he was a mad-dog, and needed to be taken out. Jayna Davis made a strong case that Iraqi agents were behind the OKC bombing. My objection was to the major spree of nation building that went on afterwards. That was a supreme waste of money and lives (particularly in Afghanistan - which will never be a 'nation').
To be fair, I think Saddam had much to be angry about regarding Gulf War I, as it appears that our Ambassador had indicated that we wouldn't care (too much) if Iraq took over Kuwait (a made up Country). I think we flipped (probably after Mrs. Hatcher yelled at Bush), and decided that we really did care.
Be that as it may, Saddam had to be taken out (OKC, attempted murder of Bush I, and supporting all sorts of terrorist groups) as he was a menace to the United States.
