For historical reference, the first popular "All Your Base Are Belong to Us" parody, and most likely the first one at all, was uploaded to Newgrounds.com Feb 16, 2001 by "Bad_CRC" (WARNING, the site has NSFW content).
This was when Freerepublic was accesed on dial up modems using jury wiring to phone jacks. Yes, My dad, "the Widget", jury rigged stuff like that.
I miss ASH, ESCHOIR and that hottie, JustaDumbBlonde. Oh, and the Great Schism of 2000 - salad days
This was always one of my favorites. Though I remember the background music and narration being a little different back in the early 00s.

One of my coworkers had the volume maxed out when she opened the Hamsterdance. If I had jumped any higher, I would have been stuck in the ceiling tiles.
Never, ever gave a thought to visiting a Quiznos sub shop after watching their first commercial which completely creeped me out. Whoever came up with that commercial should have been fired.
There were plenty of chemtrail and conspiracy threads.
I remember seeing CDs hung out as deterrents for crows up and down highway 101 when the first wineries were being put in. They apparently worked.
