I haven't posted in a long time. We lost our older son 17 years ago in Iraq. But folks still remember. Never forget!
God bless you and your family. It is an awful thing to go through. Glad to have those good thoughts and memories!
We will never forget. I fly our flag every day in memory of your son and all the others that have fallen.
It makes my own troubles seem insignificant when I am reminded of others’ sacrifices. Thank you! (Great story, too!)
I am so glad he is still remembered! I know we talked about this YEARS ago. Our 2 younger sons were at Ar Rutbah that day, and the oldest lost all his buddies in the helicopter crash (he was at Walter Reed).
Prayers for you in your continuing sorrow!
Thanks for your families service and sacrafice.. Semper Fi.
Lest we forget.
God Bless you and your family.
I organize an amateur sports league in our area, it has attracted a lot of 30’s-40’s Iraq/Afghan vets. I guess they still like to compete and push themselves, and often they come as a group.
Some have some wounds, both physical and mental, some are fine. They all have stories. Above all, they are all brothers and watch-out for each other.
RESPECT to your son. I am sure he would fit right in. God bless you and your family.
Thank you for sharing with us about your handsome, smart, talented, brave son.
I’m so very sorry for your tremendous loss. And I’m thankful and grateful that his memory lives on in the students at VSU.
Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice!
Semper Fidelis!
God keep you all
Great story. Thank you for your son’s service.
Prayers to you and your form and ex combat medic.
God bless your Son for his sacrifice and your family. Thanks for sharing that article.
God bless you and your family, and it’s wonderful to see his alma mater remember a patriot.
POP- I went to your FR homepage and the legacy.com link and saw that Karl had a blog-type webpage while he was in Iraq. The link no longer works, and I wonder if it is still accessible somewhere on the web? I would love to see the pictures and stories he had posted.
God bless your son; may he rest in peace. May the Good Lord comfort you, and may our nation raise up more men like him.
I was hoping to see an academic or athlete achievement, did not expect this. My heart goes out to you and I hope your family remains strong.
