A suspect has been identified in connection to the murder of a UCLA graduate student in Hancock Park.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, 31-year-old Shawn Laval Smith is wanted in connection to Brianna Kupfer's death. Kupfer was found dead by a customer at a luxury furniture store during daytime last week. Authorities believe her death was the result of a random attack.
Smith has been seen in Pasadena, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Covina and other parts of California, according to LAPD.
LAPD believes Smith is armed and dangerous. Anyone near Smith is asked to call 911, instead of approaching him, LAPD warns.

(Another source reported: Brianna Kupfer was found approx. 15 minutes after she had texted a friend re the “bad vibe” about the perp. The perp had been in the store where Brianna Kupfer worked, for at least 5 minutes before Brianna texted her friend.)
Bail? Bail? He'll be released on recognizance by some wacko LA judge. That's assuming that Garcon will even press charges against the perp.
Personally, I'm still hoping that some smart LAPD officer will take the matter out of the court system's hands.
I read that Garcon said that “we can’t prosecute our way out of inequity”....so I guess until all criminals have EQUITY with law abiding citizens there won’t be prosecutions?
His job is to prosecute - not to decide if there is “equity” or not. These victims have NO equity.

Fair question, and I’ll be happy to answer it.
First off, I’m not all that wound up by this. It’s sad to be sure. Yet I bear no guilt and not much anger. I don’t like that someone’s daughter is in a morgue when it was entirely preventable. Listening to my very simple message would have prevented this: if you live in the deep blue areas, you need to leave and move to America. It is not safe to live in the deep blue areas. You will be a victim. You will be unhappy. You will suffer. You will be treated worse than dirt by the so-called “leadership” in these areas. Don’t waste your time voting: you’ll lose. Don’t “make a stand”: you’ll just end up a victim. Hit the road, Jack and don’t come back!
So go ahead and do a search on my last 1000 posts. You will notice that I make this point again, and again, and again. It’s a simple strategy and it works. I believe it and I live it.
All that said, I can’t help people who delude themselves and think, well, it won’t happen to me. Things really aren’t that bad. I’ll be OK. We have plenty of 20th century history that says otherwise.
So, I actually am doing something and I’m gratified that the thousands of people who are like me who are saying “it’s time to go” are having some impact. Don’t believe me? Go price a u-haul in LA. Go price a house in Idaho. The trickle has become a flood and I pray it becomes a tsunami of decent people voting with their feet and leaving these leftist hellholes.
So I’m not mad at you at all. I’m already doing something, and will continue.
Hope springs eternal. That would be the best outcome of all. Save the taxpayers money+eliminate one more bad guy forever.
Movies, TV shows, college professors, the SPLC and ADL and NAACP, AOC and Obama, have long been stoking black rage, then directing that rage at whites, telling blacks that all their problems are due to white racism.
This killer was a low IQ loser, but perhaps initially not too dangerous. It was the above suspects that enraged him, turned him savage, then sicced him on Brianna.
