Lived down there in the 10s and was married to esposa #1 so was a bit different for me.
Other than a craft brewery in Campos de Jordao, my go to beer when I lived in Sampa was Bohemia, especially their Amber. I never got the appeal of Skol served “chope” where the foam took up 2/3 of the glass but then again never got the appeal of farofa either.

“Ice Cold quarts of LoneStar, 1966. It was good then”.
I drank some Lone star in 1966-1968 in Mexico and it was good. As I remember, Lone Star produced a Mexican beer but I can’t remember the name.

In Southcentral PA, Natty Bo used to be one of the cheapest brews available. Natty Bo must be served under 35 degrees F. This is the only way it can be consumed in quantity, unless of course… it is free.

I lived in Germany for years. Unfortunately, it spoiled me. The vast majority of American mass produced beers are horse pi$$. A number of IPSs are good. Sam Adams is good. If you want something that is as close to a German lager that you can get made in America, go for a Yuengling. It’s a German beer essentially.
And Yuengling is a conservative by the way.
