The electric chainsaw turkey carving tool looks and acts like a real chainsaw, except it won’t actually cut wood, and it’s a much smaller version of its larger counterpart. The other secret to carving a turkey besides a sharp knife is letting the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes after taking it out of the oven. This is also true for a roast.

A hot turkey is still cooking after removing it from the oven.

The turkey needs to cool for a bit after coming out of the oven so the meat can contract.

Way too many people are in a rush to eat after they see the turkey out of the oven. They immediately start cutting and the breast meat crumbles and falls apart under the knife.

Give the turkey at least 20 minutes to rest. A big bird will need more.
