The Biden administration is reportedly considering payouts of $450,000 to each person separated from their family at the southern border. A Wall Street Journal report on the potential settlements sparked outrage from some, drawing comparisons to 9/11 compensation. If the settlements happen, the federal government would award money for claims that U.S. government policies left the border crossers with lasting psychological effects.
Since the deal would be per person and those crossing the border generally included a parent and child, the total per family could approach $1 million. Approximately 940 families have reportedly filed claims, but how many people will be eligible is not yet clear. The ACLU and others filed lawsuits alleging that thousands of children and parents impacted by the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance policy have mental health effects from the prolonged trauma.

The lawsuit is total malarky. It would be laughed out of court.
There are no real “negotiations” on a “settlement”. Quite the contrary, it’s 100% a collusion between the crackpots of the Biden administration and the crackpots of the ACLU. They jointly ginned up this ridiculous lawsuit. It’s a backhanded way of giving away vast sums of money to intruders who were rightfully stopped and detained under President Trump.
The whole thing stinks like another one of Merrick Garland’s underhanded schemes.
If this became law it would be political suicide for the Biden administration, but possibly more voters like the idea than I realize. Why else would the idea be considered. I tend to believe Biden when he says its’ garbage.
I dare them to do this, go ahead, see what happens.

Those kids were most likely unrelated to the adult illegals dragging them across the border.
The cartels “rented” kids to adult illegals because the adults knew they would be allowed to stay in the country if accompanied by young children.
When was The White House elected to office. This is like the 20th time Biden has said something, only to have The White House make a statement 180 degrees opposite.
If true, and it becomes a reality, the billions of dollars handed out will be circulated back into the economy by the recipients in a heartbeat.
Either Biden lied, was unaware, confused, had no pre scripted response, or he’s not in charge. So which is it.
