I am too! It is really a wonderful thing, that one of the guys who inspired so many got a chance to see the Earth from space.
True! One of the requirements to ride on that rocket is to be able to climb seven flights of steps to the top of the launch tower in which he amazingly did.
I think when I really did see him in that light was when he sung “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds”!

“Who cares...?” I don’t care. Bezos and his losers stole from the Shuttle design from 1978 and Bezos still pretends he is so original. Funny how on KTLA 5 news this morning 10/13/21 the anchor said, “How wonderful that space travel is finally available to everyone.” Yeah, right. Humble people flew the Geminis and Apollos. Elite millionaires will fly with Bezos. Why was the Shuttle program cancelled and 250,000 jobs destroyed? Was it because losers like Obama hate the American way? I have friends in Los Angeles who still miss working on the Shuttle program.

I see that Shatner somehow kept his feet on the floor. I guess his many years of space experience paid off!
Bezos was listening to Shatner's halting attempt to articulate his impressions about his ten minute thrill ride, then turned away a few times to yap at someone else. Ultimately it was apparent why William Shatner was better received as an actor than as a writer. I have read one of his memoirs, but bought it off a remainder table. :^) Regardless, kudos to him for his record -- oldest person to space (and back) -- which could stand for a pretty long time.

LOl, I noticed that as well. The dumb chick in the tight black pants acted like she built the damn rocket. Shatner was on the verge of expressing his feelings and Bozo just turned away.
:^) The main problem with Blue Origin is, the managers didn't build the rocket. The company has one, just one, prototype that flies/has flown to space, has a contract to provide the big engine to another aerospace company/NASA, and also plans to use the same big engine in its long-promised New Glenn rocket.
It's pretty clear that there will never be another working launch vehicle from BO, and I'd guess worse than even money that the company will even be able to deliver to its contracted customer.
