You can support the vaccination effort and not support Fauci. Fauci HAS likely lied to save face in light of the possibility that COVID was leaked from a lab that he was, in part, anyway responsible for. I don’t believe Fauci had anything to do with releasing the virus, as some have claimed. And his trying to cover his tracks, if he is, should have nothing to do with trying to prevent COVID. And, no, you can still catch AND spread COVID after being vaccinated. Possibly you could spread it worse, because you may become in contact with people and not even know you have COVID, where a person sick with COVID will quarantine.
He certainly never read the part about the vaccine not preventing infection, or I’d be accusing him of incomprehension, or worse, obfuscation. I’ve seen him more than once implying that effective vaccines prevent infection.. period... that is all I was referencing. I actually like the guy.
If that is what you believe, then so it is. But you should put some more research into it. As I said, I don’t expect many more people will get vaccinated, because of the internet garbage that is out there.
We will indeed, maybe sooner. The f-ing treatments better work or everyone I know (friends and family) are in trouble. It’s still hard to believe this is an issue for a bug that has such an incredibly high survival rate (especially for those in good health under 50) Fear is a B&%ch.

You may have understood as much but I am willing to lay money 99% of the population believed it was to prevent COVID. Why, because in the normal world before the vaccine issue was super politicized everyone got a vaccine for its primary purpose, to prevent the disease. You got or allowed your child to get vaccinated against small pox, chicken pox, rubella, HPV, diphtheria, whooping cough, meningitis, etc .. for the purpose of preventing the disease, not to lessen the symptoms.
If you don't like the COVID vaccines being lumped in with these other vaccines whose number one purpose is to prevent contracting the disease then don't call the COVID shots vaccines because they aren't by the definition and behavior we expect from something that is called a vaccine.

There was the article today about several (7?) people at one hospital that recently died of Covid that were vaccinated. The medical folks didn’t even test (or treat) for Covid as they figured it couldn’t be Covid because the patients had been vaxxed!
What did they treat them for if they didn’t know or assumed they did not have COVID?

Whether people are aware of it or not, being vaccinated is a sort of infection.... you don’t become ill because the virus has been attenuated. Your point is taken, this is a new technology and we are involved in a massive experiment.. I never said that people aren’t right to be skeptical... the public education efforts on these vaccines have been atrociously mishandled..
I agree but maybe not in the same manner. Case in point...When dissent or questions are quashed or not allowed because of censorship the science becomes propaganda which any truth seeking individual despises.
Open and honest debates create solutions. Closed debate causes distrust.

Um, most people, vaccinated or otherwise, barely notice COVID-19. That’s why they made such a stink about “asymptomatic carriers” long before they had any “vaccines”.
Try to think, at least once in a while. You have been lied to, about everything to do with “COVID”, from the start. It’s the flu.
So what you are saying is that an asymptomatc vaccinated person can become infected with the disease, show no symptoms, but infect everyone around him with the disease, both vaccinated and unvaccinated?

No, we agree ‘in the same manner.’ The push for conformity of opinion is what is behind the confusion. The public health establishment has probably purposely obfuscated the nature of these vaccines fearing that people wouldn’t take it if it didn’t guarantee prevention from infection... especially given the experimental nature of these agents... how many would refuse to take the risk?
There is also an obvious profit motive... why else would they be recommending people with natural immunity get vaccinated.. even in the face of studies showing that natural immunity is more efficacious than these vaccines at preventing serious illness?
How sick is he? Does he even have symptoms?
He needs more verification than from a defective test.
Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery to Gov. Abbott. For all of the criticism here, he has fought the mandatory mask and vaccine BS from the Left for quite a while. He may not be DeSantis, but he’s damned close in many regards.
