Authorities have yet to name the police office who fatally shot Babbitt as she attempted to enter a secured area of the Capitol building.
The husband of Ashli Babbitt has gone on television to push forward the effort to learn the name of the police officer who fatally shot his wife during the Jan. 6 Capitol breach.
"Somebody up in D.C. knows," Babbitt said Monday night on the Fox News Channel's "Tucker Carlson Tonight." "I think a lot of people know, but nobody is telling us. And the silence is deafening ... I never expected to lose my wife to political violence."
Babbitt, an Air Force veteran, was fatally shot as she attempted to climb through the broken window of a door to the Speaker's Lobby, just off the House floor.
In April, the Justice Department announced that it would not seek charges against the officer who shot Babbitt, 35, following a "thorough investigation" by the Metropolitan Police Department. The department said the officer fired a service pistol, hitting Babbitt in the left shoulder, but no further information was released to the family.

Shot in the left shoulder. That didn’t hit her shoulder. Looked like the neck.
A few weeks after it happened, a number of blogs on the internet named the person and there were pics of him which looked very much like the brief glimpse we see of him in the video. Now it seems to all have been wiped from the internet.
I saw that. Have also heard it was a black women. Who ever did it lunged forward a few feet and jumped back as they were shooting. Just did not look like a professional officer.

I recall seeing a couple of pics of the man which looked like they might have been snapped that same day - same suit. It was a black man who shot her. It is amazing to me how the internet has been scrubbed of his image.
There was a thread here a while back and someone posted his picture. He was wearing a bracelet with beads on it.
Well I want the know, maybe Putin can get the answer?
Didn’t he file a lawsuit? The shooter would be name as a “Doe.”
That name of the shooter would be discoverable with the very first set of interrogatories, the the shooters name added to the pleadings.
Who will “say her name” first, Putin or Trump? I think Putin is going to call her death a political killing very soon. He’s already referenced the people arrested for 1/6 being held in solitary confinement. The next few days could get really tense with Dementia Joe talking tough.
I think it will be more of a photo op when they meet. If they meet. I can’t see biden trying to act tough in front of Putin. He may smack the taste out of bidens mouth if he starts talking about taking him behind the wood shed. Or tell him some things that would embarrass him.
If It is the same thread that I saw then the man who shot Ashley Babbitt is the same man who shot the ballpark shooter, He was identified by name in that thread.
I think you are correct. They also posted some pics of him from FB and other social media. We may eventually know who actually did it. They sure don’t want people to know. Guessing it’s because he maybe black.
The republican house leadership know exactly who he is and are participating in the coverup.
