In a statement, Likud blamed Bennett for blocking Netanyahu’s route to a majority. “Because of Bennett’s refusal to commit to a right-wing government, a move that would definitely have led to the establishment of a government with additional MKs joining, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu returned the mandate to the president,” Likud said as the midnight deadline passed.

I see this comment was at the end, but it is a red flag. Is this mainly hearsay? I need to read up on what’s in this bill because this is certainly out of character for Abbott. I’m thinking there is an agenda in process.

The first one is easier for me to understand.
Since you are in TX let us know if you find out anything. I just couldn’t believe it when I saw a mention up the thread, and could only find limited articles. Without something more direct, it’s still unknown. The article further says that he is supposedly stalling on a legislative vote on preventing businesses from being allowed to prevent non-vaxed people from being hired or using business or something like that. Also weird.
Someone should ask the Gov.

Governor Abbot plays politics. If the wind blows one way he’ll jump out behind it to sound on top of things. Right now he is concerned about optics with big business, media, big tech. My opinion.
even at my age of 67 it still stings to know that life, and the govt is NOT fair....far from it....

I’m not going to touch the idea of a government being fair, cherry, but as for life, I’ll guess that you were never a golfer. Occasionally, you’ll hit the most magnificent shot that hits a sprinkler head and takes a sideways jump in a completely wrong direction and ends up in a poor and undeserved spot.
Other times, you’ll hit a dreadful shot that deserves to come to rest in a pond or somewhere in the forest, never to be seen again, but it hits a stone or a tree and is deflected back into a great but equally undeserved spot. It doesn’t take even a week of playing for a golfer to quickly discover that golf is not fair, or even meant to be so ... just like life.
I think golfers learn this sooner than some due to the harsh and solitary nature of the game. Its unpredictable bounces have parallels to life’s bounces, though without the specter of death. It sounds hyperbolic, but playing golf has probably made me a more adaptable and cheerful human being.
life is fair, bad people are punished all the time.
We’re here for a short time.

Hello! Just checked my shrink sure enough on the take used to be for like 11000 per year since 2015 about 2-3000 per. Gave me a very pointed “Have You Gotten Your Vaccine Yet?” at my last zoom zession. Really gave me a cold chill.
