Slightly Off Topic:
I was shopping online for a coffee cup. Suddenly, I’m wanting to drink coffee on a regular basis.
I saw one cup that said “Ask Me About My Pronouns!”
The letters were in ‘all the colors of the rainbow’.
If I saw that cup on somebody’s desk or during a Zoom meeting, I would avoid that person. They are looking for a fight over their sexual identity. While, I don’t wish to give them any more that two seconds of thought regardless.
Very true.
Ignore them and avoid them at all costs. That is the only way. And that drives them insane, anyway. Which is fun.
Is that cowardly, as some on here might say or think? Absolutely not.
I think that would fall under the old idioms of: Discretion is the better part of valor ....or.... Pick your battles.
I would have just nodded and answered any question she may have had in the most plain, generic way. Yes or No. No explanations.
I would get the “ask me about my prounouns” cup for work. Put it next to my Glock cup and my no coffee no talking Russian cup.
People who know me would appreciate the sarcasm. People who would be offended can grab a tissue.
There's gotta be comedy gold with this stuff. 'If I guess correctly, what do I win?'
