1,000 HP and 1150 ft-lbs torque. Sounds great for towing. But with 350 miles range empty, I bet it’s 200 or less towing a 7K lb trailer. So I can basically commute and get groceries in it?

By definition, a 1,000 hp motor draws 746,000 watts. The largest battery Tesla puts in a vehicle, as I recall, will produce 82,000 watt hours; so, the whole 1,000 hp would only be available for, what, 7 minutes? Then the battery would be dead.

What size battery does GM claim to use?
