Trump’s actions described as ‘a betrayal of historic proportions’ in trial brief filed by House impeachment managers
Washington Post ^

“The House impeachment managers urged senators to bar Trump from ever serving again in elected office: “This is not a case where elections alone are a sufficient safeguard against future abuse; it is the electoral process itself that President Trump attacked and that must be protected from him and anyone else who would seek to mimic his behavior. “

KEYWORDS: election; impeachment; trump
Those impeachers have impeached themselves by their own words. They no longer trust the “electoral process itself “ and need a “safeguard”. This is exactly what the Boshevicks did in Russia and Hitler did in Germany, convince the voting public they could not trust themselves and needed the Party to look after them. Beware Americans. This is about a lot more than Trump’s political career or reputation. This is about the “electoral process itself”, fundamental to our democratic republic.

Impeachment requires a trial in the Senate.

The Senate committed election fraud by certifying Kamala Harris as Vice President when she is Constitutionally unqualified as a Natural Born Citizen (NBC).

In 2007 the Senate passed Senate Resolution 511 that stated John McCain was a NBC because he was ‘born of American citizen parents on a US Military base’.

Harris is an unnatural born native born of parents from different foreign jurisdictions who they were subject to by the act of issuing their passports to visit here.

All but 2 of the Senators voted to confirm Harris as VP despite their own Resolution and definition of NBC.

Propounding the lie of an unqualified candidate is election fraud.

Trump is correct. This is massive.

Notice Democrats believe the 2016 election was hacked by Russia and that Trump could hack the 2024 election; but, it is verboten to even that the 2020 election was hacked.

Even rational democrats are thinking hey wait a second the guy is not even in office anymore. This impeachment is really going to help turning public opinion.

What do you think? Should Trump stick with the narrow argument of unconstitutionality OR should he accompany the unconstitutionality argument with a crisp rendition of the election fraud evidence?

I watched a video of David Schoen, Trump’s new lawyer, arguing only the former last night (with a little plea for unity/victim finesse thrown in for good measure). I found it underwhelming.

As we FReepers know full well, the Dems/Media want to completely destroy Trump, prevent him from ever running again, and forever stigmatize his followers.

Seems to me this is Trump’s chance to counter punch BIG-LY ... seriously, what do you think his strategy should be vs. these vile, corrupt, and lying enemies?

Betrayal of his fellow elites? Of the anti-American establishment? Of the crooked political class? Thank God we have someone in Trump brave enough to defy the oppressive and corrupt elites to stand up for the American people and for the Republic.

Of course, the Dems are very open now about wanting to end free and fair elections. This is just another of their many moves in that direction. We should start calling them the “anti-democrat Democrats.” It’s shocking how little attention is given in this country to all their efforts to install one-party rule and to take away the basic rights of the people. Bread and circuses—and indoctrination and propaganda—distract people away form the important things.

"The Senate committed election fraud by certifying Kamala Harris as Vice President when she is Constitutionally unqualified as a Natural Born Citizen (NBC)."

Harris is a natural born citizen. She was born in Oakland, CA.

"In 2007 the Senate passed Senate Resolution 511 that stated John McCain was a NBC because he was ‘born of American citizen parents on a US Military base’."

A non-binding resolution, passed because that military base was in a foreign country and people were causing doubts. Parentage matters for births in a foreign country, not in the US.

"Harris is an unnatural born native born of parents from different foreign jurisdictions who they were subject to by the act of issuing their passports to visit here."

Harris was born in Oakland. When she was born her parents were in the US too, and being in the country were subject to the laws of the country and therefore "under the jurisdiction". Harris is a natural born citizen.

It was not intended that those born to tourists or visitors be granted citizenship by birth.

Your take is incorrect.

Parentage matters for births in a foreign country, not in the US.

Are you talking about US children born overseas, or foreigners born here? Because US children born overseas can be NBC if both parents are American, like McCain. But the topic is Harris, a native born Indian and Jamaican subject to the countries of origin of her foreign parents who issued her parents' passports.

Federalist Blog

"... Additionally, Trumbull argued Indians could not be subject to the jurisdiction for the reason the United States deals with them through treaties. This is also exactly how the United States deals with aliens from other nations as well; they enter into treaties with other countries to define legal rights of their citizens while within the limits of the United States and vice versa. Example: A treaty with China prohibited the United States from naturalizing Chinese citizens." (Ark Kim Wong)

What did Harris do to reject her foreign citizenship from India, who also states that the citizenship of Indians born overseas is based on the parents' citizenship? Being a citizen of two countries would seem to contradict the whole point of a Natural Born Citizen, that of allegiance to one's country of allegiance.

therefore "under the jurisdiction".

The proper wording is 'and subject to the jurisdiction' in terms of citizenship / allegiance. It would have been much clearer if the word 'sole' had been inserted before 'jurisdiction'.

Whose portraits will be visible during the Senate's show trial?

My guess is they will drop Engels and Stalin and replace them with Che Guevara and Mao Tse-tung.

Yep; he betrayed the Swamp’s status quo by refusing donations with strings attached, telling the truth, and delivering on campaign promises, making them look bad. Indeed it was of historic proportions,
