I said back in the Obama days that I intended to be one of those metaphorical "glass eyes" that his vultures fracture their beaks on. I was somewhat able to do that in my own small way. I intend to keep doing it for the same gang of monsters PLUS their uniparty enablers on the other side of the aisle, beause many of the Republicans I used to just think were inept are now proven past doubt to be controlled opposition.
However... I have to get my butt out of this comfy Q thread groove and get ready to face an increasingly hostile world where I have now "celebrated" my 65th birthday and all the happy horse crap that comes with the territory. I have more health issues, fewer loved ones and about the same amount of natural pessimism, even as the serpent grows in size and power.
I am a slowly weakening vessel, Red. May Almighty God be merciful unto a sinner like myself so that I will do the right thing(s) in these times and say, "Here I stand. I can not do otherwise."
Yes, we are all getting older — and frailer. I am several years older than you, but I thank God for every day on this side of the grass.
