GOP, Democrats Allow Mike Lee’s Middle Class Replacement Bill to Pass Senate
Breitbart ^ | 2 Dec 2020 | NEIL MUNRO

Every Republican and Democratic senator has let Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) pass a bill through the Senate that will supercharge the outsourcing of the white-collar jobs needed by America’s professional class and its college-educated children.

Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016 while promising to curb immigration and the huge H-1B program, said Kevin Lynn, founder of U.S. Tech Workers, a group that opposes the visa worker programs. He can veto the bill, or he can sign this bill when it is buried in the huge coronavirus bailout bill, Lynn said, adding, “If this is what Trump wants to be his legacy, well, good luck with that.”

“They’re going to turn millions of white-collar people into blue-collar people,” said Jay Palmer, a civil-rights activist working against human trafficking and the corporate displacement of Americans.

The bill hits “doctors, accounting, insurance people, teachers, graphics designers, pharmacists … [denies] college students from ever having an opportunity to get meaningful jobs, it floods the market, draws down wages, and makes people dependent on big government,” he said.

“Ninety percent of the Senators do to know what this bill means,” he added.

Lee’s S.386 bill helps the Fortune 500 and Silicon Valley firms to annually trade green cards to 140,000 mid-skilled foreign workers in exchange for taking the starter jobs and routine jobs needed by U.S. graduates of all ages — especially as the country emerges from the coronavirus crash.

The bill is carefully designed to help the Fortune 500 companies reward their imported workforce of roughly 400,000 Indian workers who are waiting to get the green cards they expected in exchange for taking jobs from Americans years ago.

I expect Trump is salivating to reject this bill. When he explains it to Americans, they will support him even more

Burying unrelated stuff in a bill is among the worst of our legislative practices. We need a line-item veto.

Nah, I was told on this here board how GREAT Lee was some years back.

Sessions too.

I ever remember when they said Gowdy was great.

And a bunch more.

Anyone ever notice that Ds don’t really get more conservative with the years in office but Rs certainly do get more leftist in too many instances?

Without a line item veto, how can he reject it when it 's buried in the very popular coronavirus bailout bill that the GOP has been pressuring Nanzi on? Catch 22.

They *don’t* read the bills....any of them! That’s the job of their interns; they read the bills then tell the legislator how to vote! And most of the interns are college students...

This was done by the Senate in anticipation of a Biden administration. Traitors every dam’ one of them.

I’m soooooo glad that we’re trying to stop Communism by electing corporatist, neo-statist GOP people.

We can do better than this, at least in the long term.

Also, no better time than now for white collar workers to start getting some extra food, ammo and what not. The future does NOT look good for us, Great Reset or otherwise.

#WalkAway from both Democrats and GOP.

Utah is a conservative state. Mormans are on the open border bandwagon primarily so they don’t have to travel so far to convert people.

We left the state years ago, my children were ostracized for not being a mo and their so called friends at school basically no longer were able to play with them once the Mormon kids had their baptism or whatever it’s called.

Beautiful state, two faced people and terrible politicians controlled by the Morman church.

Even the two Georgia prima donnas did not say a word against this bill. It would have only taken one Senator to object but no all agreed that we need more foreign workers and their chain migration families to take our jobs and lower our wages.

Every 100 of them are Sell outs and an enemy of the American worker.

A line-item veto would be a great idea for knocking unrelated garbage like this item out of a relief bill, but it was already shot down by the Supreme Court, and as far as I can tell, there is nothing in the Constitution authorizing such. You either sign the whole thing or veto it or let it either die or become law without acting, depending on when you do that.

There are 99 other senators. Any single one of them could have objected and forced a vote rather than unanimous consent. And every one of them failed our citizens. Every... single... one.
