Facebook has gone too far
Vanity | Real Cynic No More

What would be the impact on Facebook and Twitter stock value if conservatives abandoned these sites en masse?

I just got fed up today when Facebook deleted my second post as "violating community standards". It was an American Thinker article about Hunter Biden, and included the photo of him smoking a crack pipe.

The previous one from just a couple of days ago was a meme about being old and not realizing the cause of most injuries is thinking that you can perform the same activities you did when you were younger!

With all the censorship of late, I just decided that I'm not going to take it any more. My one account cancellation won't have even a miniscule negative impact on their bottom line. But I won't be doing anything any longer to contribute to their profitability, either.

They use the 30 day clause to sell your personal identity. Is using Skype, anninexpensive way to video call with family. Costs less than an old fashioned landline using the long distancing feature. Remember when after 9pm calls were cheaper.

I’m still hanging in there. Too many of my kids use it and I would know nothing about them if I didn’t use it. I am pretty sure they don’t get my money anyway. I use Fluff Busting Purity, aka F.B.Purity, to block off their ads, videos, pictures of lost dogs, etc.

I canceled my Facebook account over a year ago. I’m glad to have the time, dignity, and privacy I was throwing away back in my own pocket.

I can’t cancel Facebook. I don’t have an account. My wife does and we are discussing her getting rid of it. Facebook really is a job for little pay. Everything you put on there has advertisements inserted into it. And you don’t get a share of the revenue. I have enough contact with my friends and family without the constant status updates and friend requests.

In political campaigns while the use of Social Electronic Formats are useful in presenting political positions. Relying solely on using those venues is a mistake because of their SEF content limitations and media bias .

Consideration of the use of reprinted material including handouts and flyers such as of articles in FR and the planning of area saturation distribution known as “blitzing” in the targeted area is essential of one wants to win.

I understand. Funny thing is.. when I just looked at FB again today, they have censored it again for the same reason. I'm deleting my account after the election.

And that’s after restoring and publicizing that it does not violate community standards.

My other main issue is their throttling of posts. I would find that posts I made sometimes were not seen by my friends for hours - or in extreme cases, days - after I made them. And even I did not see them on my public wall for some time after I posted, even though they showed up on my personal page. And I re-posted, only to find out hours later, or the next day, that I had double posted.

This is not the way such an app should work, especially without some transparent explanation.

For the programmers of Facebook to be such technical wizards, their work product smacks of a middle school - or at best, a high school - level of sophistication.

I know, because I’ve done a fair amount of programming in my profession. And their product doesn’t begin to pass muster.
