I went to the wharf last month to see about grabbing a bowl of cioppino
parked in front of Alioto’swith Boudin bread and The Crab Shack.
Nothing was open but, rolled down the window of my car.
Eerie.
Quiet and there were No aromas of crab boil or sourdough bread.
There was the scent of and sound of bay and nothing else ???
I had to leave.
I did not find it charming, interesting or anything else.
The atmosphere felt dead and I wanted nothing to do with it.
Actually, it LIES all but abandoned. "Lay" is a transitive verb or the past simple of "lie."
Creepy.
You have to experience it.
