Photos place defendant at scene of theft with high-powered firearm in carrying-case

Seattle – A 24-year-old Everett resident appeared in U.S. District Court in Seattle today charged with possession of a stolen firearm in connection with a high-powered rifle taken during a downtown Seattle riot on May 30, 2020, announced U.S. Attorney Brian T. Moran.  JACOB D. LITTLE was captured by both Seattle Police surveillance photos and images posted online with the large bag used to store the Colt M4 rifle with a suppressor.  The rifle still has not been recovered.

Using not only the images captured of the riot scene, but tips from the public, Seattle Police investigators linked LITTLE to the stolen firearm.  Images show a man that appears to be LITTLE removing the heavy bag from a Seattle Police vehicle parked outside the downtown Nordstrom store.  The vehicles were heavily damaged and ultimately burned by rioters.  The investigation reveals that in electronic messages following the theft, LITTLE appears to be negotiating the sale of the firearm.  He states in the messages that he has removed the sling and suppressor and the “red dot” (a type of optical sight) from the rifle.  All those accessories were present on the rifle when stolen from the Seattle Police vehicle.

The charges contained in the complaint are only allegations.  A person is presumed innocent unless and until he or she is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Possession of a stolen firearm is punishable by up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The case is being investigated by the Seattle Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF), with assistance from the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force and the United States Marshals Service.  The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kate Crisham.

One too many commas in the title (after Washington). Where do these people go to school?

Not very smart. He didnt just steal a gun. He stole an NFA item, two actually. An M4 is considered an automatic weapon (machine gun) and it had a suppressor. Both are NFA controlled items. Federal offense with mandatory 10 year sentence. Good riddance to this POS.

You can never be too safe:

Let's eat grandma.
Let's eat, grandma.

Should be a nice long stay in the greybar hotel for this one. Though he probably stole the weapon mostly peacefully.

Big deal. This guy will walk.

It was Street Theater.
Putting him in jail violates his 1st Amendment rights.
As a citizen of the independent nation of CHAZ, he is not subject to US law.
The ATF didn't read him his rights.
The ATF itself is illegal and should not have arrest privileges.

Choose one. Besides, they haven't found the rifle. (What's an suppressed M4 doing in a Seattle cop car, anyhow?)

Make sure you go from thread to thread moaning that nothing will ever change. It’s the best way to get things done and it is highly motivational.

“One too many commas in the title (after Washington). Where do these people go to school?”

You should learn English rules before making such an arrogant remark.

A comma always goes after the State name.

So, “Washington man wins award.” should be “Washington, man wins award.”?

You really need to read the rules of English. State names that come after a city use a comma before and after.

Don’t be dense.

I stand corrected: https://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/qanda/data/faq/topics/Commas/faq0041.html

Obscure, but there it is.

BTW, I’m not arrogant. I’m just better than everyone else even when I’m wrong, because I do it so well. :D

The riots have been going on for FOUR YEARS, here in Portland. This 90 day bullsh!t is 100% organic.

I'm still waiting for change, and if I started shooting, I'm the bad guy... Lord knows I've had the targets available.

So, JAM IT.

Where the hell did YOU go to school? I know you wouldn’t have done well on a New York State Regents exam in the ‘60s.

Comma after the town, and comma after the state.

Another one that drives me crazy is in dates. I see a comma between a month and a year. (Investigation Discovery channel does this ALL the time.) You only use a comma when there is a day date between the month and year.

Yeah. I made this comment on two threads but only addressed it in the other one.

My final year of skool I had the best 8th grade teacher the state of Kentucky had to offer! I know what I’m doing here! :)

Absolutely the last firearm I would ever want in my possession. One that has cop fingerprints all over it and is fully traceable.

On a side note,I love how these cops let go possession of their weapons. Any ex-military would never think of that but maybe I am wrong. I would leave the car as the barbarians have their way and I would take the rifle. A rude awakening would doom anyone who tried to take my weapons.
