I’m fortunate enough to have relocated to a rural area surrounded by woods, and I’ve walked the woods on my property and know them. That said, however, those grounds can be used offensively against me, and I’m at a loss on how to properly prepare. I don’t want to come off to my neighbors as a nutcase, but preparation is high on my list including getting know them and their plans.
Solar powered hunting cameras are fantastic today, they can be chosen and placed to suit your needs. Also motion sensors, etc.
You can at least be warned anytime anybody turns onto your drive. All solar powered, etc.

Your house is the target so you need to get your family out of it as quickly as possible. A below grade ditch leading to the trees behind the house. Build a redoubt back there of packed earth and timber camouflaged so it is not visible from around the house. Stockpiled with food and ammo.
Did I mention an early warning system like Ring so you know what is up before they can surround your place?
Practice retreating to the redoubt and staying there overnight. Also plan to retire from the redoubt to a third location. You can also place hidey holes so that family members that cant move fast can hide out and not be visible.
