If the Smithsonian says it, it must be at least twice that number........................
If that isn't a White Privilege Superiority Insensitivity Cultural Hegemonist Dog Whistle, I don't know what is.
Take the knee!

Next year: the Pascack Hills NPCs vs. the Pascack Valley Neutrals.
Wonder when Nyack High School, across the state line in NY will change their name from the....gasp....INDIANS? Nyack is like SF-upon-the-Hudson, artsy fartsy types who years ago bought and refurbished the crumbling Victorian houses(is “Victorian” racist, too? asking for a friend) along the river. The village has bragging rights for electing the first openly gay mayor of all the towns in the Hudson Valley.
Holy cow. I went to Shawnee High School (Renegades), the kids went to Lenape High School (Indians), played against two other high schools in the regional system - Senaca (Golden Eagles) and Cherokee (Chiefs). There's going to have to be a lot of name changes in that school system if the liberals get their way. (FYI - Burlington County New Jersey schools)
Change your name to the AWESOME BLOSSOMS like the high school in Minnesota did.

or half???
So depressing.
The Taliban-Marxism continues to infect.
People would just rather give in, and think, they can go back to normal.
Those days are over!
Agreed.
The Floyd Snowball has become an avalanche of insanity.
I graduated from Piscataway High School the Chiefs are iconic if they changed that name the people there would go nuts.
...several steps Venezuela went through on its way from being one of the most prosperous countries in the Americas to a socialist police state ... :
Statues came down because socialist dictator Hugo Chavez wanted the history erased.
He changed street names for the same reason.
He changed the educational curriculum to erase history and substitute his version.
Some movies were banned, presumably for the same reason.
Weve seen all of these happen in America just in the past few weeks, with statue destruction happening in blue cities and states from coast to coast, as city leaders choose not to defend them. Theres a petition to change the name of Columbus, Ohio because its named after explorer Christopher Columbus.
Without Columbus, America would not exist.
You guys think it cant happen to you, Ive heard this so many times, Rogliani says. But always be on guard. Never believe something cant happen to you. You need to guard your country and your society or it will be destroyed.
She also notes that Cuban exiles tried to warn Venezuelans that they were seeing similar patterns and events they had suffered, but Venezuelans brushed them off saying they knew what freedom is and they would never surrender it.
That sounds familiar too.
Why just stop with the mascots?
