I noticed that there were some homes already in the sea when the video begins. Perhaps there was an earlier and smaller slide.

Unbelievable! Jeez - “Honey I’ll be home in an hour — just having a pint with the boys. Honey?” Jeez.
Here in central FL our only real worries are hurricanes and you can see them coming. In our non-evacuation zone I just sit out on my porch and watch them go by.
TV, four screens and if a storm surge at 60’ hits us then Florida no longer exists. Warming? We’ve got A/C. Ice age? Good place to be. Yellowstone eruption - probably OK.
Conservative? Come on down. 7% sales tax - no income tax.
Beaches by the mile. Sometimes there are gals in ridiculously small bikinis but my sweetheart and I are just walking collecting shells. I hardly notice. ;-)
I didn’t see that the first time I watched it. This might have been going on for several minutes before he/she started the camera.
That was amazingly frightening. My first thought was if the people knew in advance (ground shakes, sounds, etc.) and were able to get out.
What awesome video.
Thanks!

Those homes stuck together pretty darn well, somehow I don’t think that our current McMansions being built would remain together for so long here.
