My dad, Tom, has been having back pains for a while now. He had an MRI yesterday and today it came back as cancer. I don't know much right now, but he and the family could use your prayer.
Please don't be mad that this is a duplicate thread. I didn't know which forum to use.

Thank you. As far as I know, he’s still at the doctor. The technician yesterday said she wasn’t supposed to analyze the MRI, but she told him it looked like a simple compressed disc. We were pretty relieved, but today I see why that wasn’t in her job description. :(

As I read your post, I was having strange feelings. I too have had longstanding back pain and had an MRI yesterday. Radiology report says it is spinal stenosis (for which I had previous surgery). But spine surgeon will look at it tomorrow.
I pray your father’s condition is treatable and he recovers quickly! Godspeed!

I talked to my dad over the phone just now. He is in the process of moving from his regular doctor to an oncologist, so he doesn’t know much right now. He sounds normal, but it’s rare for him to show if he’s scared. Of course, my emotions finally hit me when I talked to him (I found out from my mom about two hours ago).
Thank you all for your prayers. God is good and I know there will be moments I will be mad at Him. I asked for his strength to not do that.
