Have a family member who is a pharmacist in Michigan. She says that she checked on availability of hydroxychloroquine with their supplier this afternoon:
“There was none available from any manufacturer in any package size—about 15 to 20 products total. One had estimated availability on April 8, the rest April 30.”
So, if the ruling was for the purpose to avoid hoarding, there may have been legitimate concerns about supplies. But if that was the purpose, it was a terribly written directive.
