This pastor is in the wrong. He is not watching out for the flock. He is being a bad Steward over his people. The President also has emergency powers. I’m sorry but the right thing for people to do is social distancing and at this moment I don’t give a flying ship what the Constitution says. Sometimes the right thing to do is the right thing to do and not go pointing at the Constitution and say I can do whatever I want no matter how it harms others.
This is how I know that even most people here on FreeRepublic would give up their guns in a heartbeat when the government officers come to the front door.
When did FR get invaded by idiots such as you? The cool thing is that those of us who believing in upholding the Constitution are actually protecting idiots such as yourself. Have you ever read it?
Well that is the difference between you and most of the other people on this site.
By your own admission, to you the constitution is optional.
To be adhered to or ignored. Others have fought and killed and faced death to maintain those rights enshrined therein.
Were ALL 500 0of the attended COVID positive?
So, the pastor is guilty until proven innocent and his parishioners are considered infected until proven virus free?
Well, it’s easier on the courts. Heck, let’s just put him in jail for 2 years without due process. Easy-peasy.
Rights that come from God, or, by virtue of being alive, are extra-constitutional and not granted by the acceptance of the Constitution.
Liberty is the existence of free thought; a conscience unbound by the ideas of other men.
