President Trump on Sunday didn't offer the warmest greeting to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle amid reports that they had relocated from Canada to the U.S.
A source told People Magazine last week that the royal couple relocated from Vancouver Island to Los Angeles, Markle's hometown.
Markle, 38, and Harry, 35, have been staying in a secluded compound and have stuck close to home during the coronavirus pandemic, the magazine reported. It's unclear when the couple made the move.
However, in a tweet from the president on Sunday, it became clear that U.S. taxpayers were not footing the bill for their security.
"I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!" Trump exclaimed.

They expected Canada to pay but Canada told them no. That may be part of the reason she came back here even though she swore never to as long as orange man was in charge.
Nothing says they are royals more than their refusal to pay taxes that are compelled of the subjects.
When they officially cease to be working royals as of the end of the month, they lose their UK taxpayer funded security.
If you are not carrying out public duties, you don’t rate official security.
They have no standing to get security provided by the USA, they are just celebrities. Celebs pay for their own security.

I have not heard anything to that effect. And honestly I can’t imagine anyone would seriously expect us to. Not sure what Trump’s point was here. He appears to be answering a request no one made nor was anyone likely to. The Brits (most of them anyways) are not stupid. Harry and the royal broad are their problem irregardless of where they choose to live.
