For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia.

The vast majority of people recover from the new virus. According to the World Health Organization, people with mild illness recover in about two weeks, while those with more severe ailments may take three to six weeks to rebound.

In North TX, you’re more likely to die of a toilet paper shortage.

Ha!....we found a bunch of rolls here in Villa Park, Orange County where the rich people shop. The Wal Mart in Orange was sold out. The toilet paper made it through Checked baggage this morning. Wife and daughter flew ahead of me. She did find some at Kroger’s in Frisco too. So I think we’re good to go!..so to speak.

30 octogenarians fall ill and die (no disrespect meant) in Washington state and I can’t buy toilet paper in Virginia.

That is the most non-hysterical piece of journalism I’ve seen since this whole thing started.

Of course its only on a local station in the Dallas area.

Things are still relatively calm here, I just pray it stays that way.

I live here.

Generally folks in my area haven’t been paying much attention since a lot of us don’t go to the city much and fewer Americans have died from it.

I did go all the way into Sherman earlier today and nobody much was talking about it either.

But (on a matter of actual importance) we may get quarter to half dollar sized hail this evening or tonight. That one is important enough to get our attention.

Now this was interesting:

“Dallas County is canceling all jury trials scheduled in the George Allen Civil Courthouse and all Justice of the Peace Courts until April 13.”

If you want to make your toilet paper last longer, take a couple of scoops of Metamucile every day. Your Baby Ruth’s will come out clean and it only takes about one square to get a clean wipe. No charge for the advice.

re. Things are still relatively calm here, I just pray it stays that way.

Agree, but there are small signs of stocking up. Was at Tom Thumb this morning - the section of shelves with cleaners labeled "sanitizer" or "kills germs" was empty, and half the toilet paper section was picked clean. Saw one person checking out with 4 jumbo packages of paper towels.

I have been traveling for the past three weeks, different parts of the whole country. The standard type bleach and cheapo tp was low, but not missing in Anchorage Ak, Las vegas nv and Tyler tx, but SLC ut, it was picked clean. Not looking forward to seeing how la county ca is reacting later in the month.

Amazing how different people reaction to this thing is in parts of the country.
