LAS VEGAS (AP) The Latest on the 2020 presidential campaign (all times local):
9:15 p.m.
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is lumping the Democratic establishment in with the corporate and Republican establishment and saying they cant stop him.
Sanders is the favorite in Saturdays Nevada caucuses after winning New Hampshire and essentially tying for first in Iowa. His rivals and some party centrists have become alarmed that the self-declared democratic socialist could win the nomination as his opponents split the non-Sanders vote.
Sanders is an independent who caucuses with Democrats. In Nevada he has stressed his independence from the party. On Friday night he went further yet. He said the establishment was getting worried about a multiracial coalition that wants higher wages and health care.
When we stand up together, theyre not going to stop us, Sanders told a crowd in a Las Vegas park.

They stopped him last time and they can darn sure stop him this time if they want to.
Bernie, the fact that you could make such a statement after what happen to you in 2016 indicates you are as delusional as your socialist policies.

He’ll sell out.

Pretty smart actually. He is doing a Trump from the left. His problem is he is dealing with the DNC. They are not like the GOPe. They are a pack of ruthless, no rules thugs. Unlike the GOP they will see to it Bernie loses if they decide too. The GOP tried to work withing the electoral framework to stop Trump. The rats laugh at such “impediments”.
Hes gone completely (further?) off the rails. Hes Don Quixote...
Good comparison. The R’s also had at least one credible alternative in Ted Cruz, and he gave Trump a good run. The D’s have no one who is any safer or saner than Bernie.
Until Cankles makes her grand entrance at the convention...
If he doesn’t watch it, he’s going to have another “heart attack.” The DNC is perfectly capable of it.
Fixed it for you.
Until Cankles makes her grand entrance at the convention...
I disagree that Hillary is any safer or saner than Bernie.
But I do agree that she will make a grand entrance at the convention--with the Dem establishment, money elites, and mainstream media firmly attached to her butt.
So Bernie would take $100 Million to drop out? Seems like that would be some sort of violation.
I’ve been back and forth on whether Cankles will/can try to snatch the nomination in a brokered convention. There’s no question she WANTS it as bad as I have ever seen anyone want something. And I certainly believe she and her coven have worked out a plan on how to do it.
But I just can’t get past how she almost didn’t make it through the last campaign. They literally had to prop her up. She would campaign for three or four days, then have to take the rest of the week off. If she were to run again in 2020, they’d have to tote her around in a sedan chair like Cleopatra.
Hell have a medical event first.
“Hell sell out.”
Of course he will. He sold out to Hillary for the price of a lake “camp”, and this time around he is waiting to hear Bloomburg’s best and final offer.
That D establishment will, however, stop Bernie cold.
Political parties are private organizations, the DNC since they run the show could turn around and just say ‘these two (Not Sanders!) are our Prez & VP candidates’. The rank & file wouldn’t like it, the ‘hand picked’ nominees would get shellacked but that’s likely to happen anyway. What’s got to be saved is ‘down ticket’. Letting Bernie have the prize would that help or hurt ‘down ticket’? I don’t know!
In 2016 Bernie changed parties and became a Democrat. He then switched back to Independent after the election. IIRC he has NOT changed back to Democrat again.
Will the DNC ignore that at the convention? How can they nominate a non-Democrat?
