Well, actually, they are in the purest sense of the term (government regulates individual everyday activity and the economy) “socialist”. For that matter, we are dangerously close to be a “pure sense” socialist country.
Any parliamentary democracy is socialist.
I talk, often, about going fishing. Just picking up my rod and going to the local waterway. I always say, “Because I can.”
People I know that live in EU states are taxed on every aspect (vessel, equipment, etc.) must buy a permit to even BE a fisherman (they can be stopped on the street and asked to prove they have a sportsman permit) and they must schedule in advance, with the local government office, when they want to go fishing for permission to do so. Their plan must be detailed down to the square meters of adjacent land they intend to use for fishing, which they can’t wander off of.
Take it up with them
And at any measure not the model that The Burn proposes
Equivocating is not gonna get any mileage with me, a turd by any other name is still a turd
And BTW in our Constitution it specifies we have a REPUBLICAN form of Government
Sounds like a dead end or worse trying to subvert our founding documents!
(they can be stopped on the street and asked to prove they have a sportsman permit)
Last year in March my son got a ticket from Crook County IL Game and Wild Life for NOT having his permit on him while fishing. It was a $100 fine, but he was told had they not been able to verify he did in fact have one the fine would have $500 or more.
