I saw that movie recently on TV. Pretty good movie. Great acting.
I agree it is a solid movie. Excellent work by Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Ed Harris. Very touching at the end when they show a clip of the real Radio. Very sad to hear of his passing.
His name and story are new to me. He sounds like he was a well loved person, embraced by his community.
I haven’t heard him speak, but his appearance and manner tell me he may have been high functioning autistic.
He spread joy and team spirit throughout his life.
I hope I have such an epitaph.
He was retarded but otherwise normal. I think that is what the movie said.
That was pretty retarded.
RIP.
Tarded or not, it sounded like he had a great life.
Yup.
He was always a Junior at T.L. Hanna High School, because if he ever became a Senior, he'd have to graduate. They'd let him run track for T.L. Hanna Junior Varsity.
Both of my sons graduated from T.L.Hanna. Radio was always a part of the daily routine around the school.
